ドゥ・マイエ 『テリアメド、あるいは海洋の低減、地球の形成、人間の起源に関するインド人哲学者とフランス人宣教師との対話』 英語訳
フランスの外交官として各地で活躍した Benoit de Maillet (1656-1738) による著作で、オリジナル（フランス語版）からの英語訳。Cuvier は、この本について、地球の形成に関する最初の体系的な書物とみなし、Maillet を Lamarck の先駆者としている。
